Winning Feels Like a Big Buffalo; Losing Big Cuts Like a Sabre

It seems like when the Penguins win, they win big; however, when they lose, they lose big too.  They are coming off of a 3 goal shutout against the Dallas Stars on Saturday.  The Buffalo Sabres are coming off of 4 losses in a row where they scored 3 goals and still lost.  The Penguins have been giving up too many goals, and it seems that the recipe to beat them is to just “hang around.”  The New York Islanders did this a few nights ago after being down two goals to tie the game at 4-4.  The Penguins need to fix this problem moving forward if they want to win playoff hockey.  The reason I say this is because, in the new hockey playoffs, you are actually penalized for being a higher seed.  It is often better to be a lower seed.

The last time these two teams met, the Penguins won 4-1.  The Sabres have the US Olympic goaltender, Ryan Miller; therefore, the Penguins should not go into this game lightly.  I expect the Sabres to come to play tonight.  The comparisons are below.  Tonight’s game can been seen on the ROOT and possibly NBC Sports, which is subject to blackout.
