The Price is Right Winter Classic 2011 Pittsburgh Penguins Crosby Washington Capitals Ovechkin CBS


Penguins captain Sidney Crosby and Capitals counterpart Alex Ovechkin appeared together on CBS's "The Price Is Right" on Monday December 20, 2010 to promote the upcoming 2011 Winter Classic. Jeremy Roenick also was on hand. The trio introduced an NHL themed showcase that included a trip to Pittsburgh for the outdoor extravaganza New Year's Day at Heinz Field 2011.

    She over-bid on purpose. What kind of prize is a trip to Pittsburgh? A hockey game in the cold and snowy weather is not enough incentive to bring me to that town. I’d be more joyed to be sent to Korea.

    A hatchback and a hockey game is clearly not $28,000. I’m surprised she didn’t bid one million just to be sure she didn’t win the trip to Pittsburgh

    @Love4SK The NHL is definitely bigger than what you think or what the media tells you it is, just for the record the NHL had better attendance than the NBA. The NHL is growing and the NBA is shrinking. Hockey deserves better than what the media gives it credit for. Peace.
